Compare imaging methods using the stated criterion

  • When asked to choose an imaging method, identify whether the question values resolution, safety or convenience. The best choice depends on the clinical purpose, so give a reason tied to that criterion.
  • For X-ray attenuation, treat the half-value thickness as a repeated halving of beam intensity. Keep imaging with a tracer separate from treatment, even when both involve ionising radiation.
